½ piece of foam board (standard poster size)

22in x 17in light colored felt (to cover board)

Hot glue and hot glue gun

Duck Tape (optional)

5-6 pieces of different colored felt

Scissors

Scotch tape

Felt Board Instructions

  1. Choose a piece of foam board, canvas board, cardboard, etc.
  2. Cut a piece of light colored felt to be 3-4 inches taller and wider then your board. (you should have 1 ½ to 2 inches to fold over your board on each side)
  3. Use duck tape or hot glue to hold your felt to the back of your board. Make sure to pull the felt tight so there are no wrinkles in the front of your board.
  4. Cut out story patterns (it is best if you leave a little white space) and tape down to felt.
  5. Cut your patterns out of the felt.
  6. Add details with markers or by adding layers of felt.
