President's
Message
by Nina Brunet, Library Manager, Criminal Justice Academy Library, Columbia,
SC
Greetings!
It is time to say “Hail” to our newest member, Sara Rothstein.
Sara comes to us from Missouri and now resides in Hartsville while working
at Coker College as their Public Services Librarian. It was a pleasure
meeting you in person at our Charleston meeting. Our “Farewell”
goes to our Business Manager, Marsha Bishop. Marsha has left the Michelin
Plant and moved on to work with the National Radio Astronomy Observatory
(NRAO) Libraries in Charlottesville, Virginia. We wish you both every
success in your new jobs.
With Marsha’s leaving, her Business Manager position is now open.
Please think about serving in this capacity next year. Getting sponsors
for our meetings helps to pay for programming and keep meeting costs down.
We also will be looking for new Directors. These are leadership opportunities
that allow for professional growth, leadership development, networking,
and opportunities to excel within your profession. If you want to participate
in the enrichment of our chapter, now is the time to step up to the plate
and begin to make a difference. If you have a special interest or skill
you would like to share with our chapter let us know.
Hope to see you all at our next meeting.
With sincerest regards,
Nina Brunet
