Graduate Assistantships are available for the academic year ranging from $2,500-$8,000 from either the Department of History or the College of Library and Information Science. Smaller stipends are available for the summer terms. The University Archives, South Caroliniana Library, McKisssick Museum, Richland County Public Library, The S.C. State Museum, The S.C. Department of Archives and History and other agencies offer assistantships or part-time employment.
