Additional Fees
Student Health Center Fee is required for students taking less than 12 hours. This fee pays for medical visits to the Thomas Student Health Center and Women’s Care, access to wellness care and education, urgent care response on campus and outreach activities, and 12 visits with psychologists, family/marriage therapists, and social workers. Student Health Insurance is mandatory for all graduate students. - SLIS Graduate Assistantships are available to full-time students. Graduate assistants are assigned to work with faculty members, to administrative offices, to the computer lab, or to the South Carolina Center for Children's Books and Literacy. Graduate assistants receive a stipend for working 10-20 hours per week and receive a tuition supplement in accordance with Graduate School policies.
