A native of Korea, Jinmook Kim earned an MLS from the School of Library and Information Management, Emporia State University in Kansas and completed his doctorate at the College of Information Studies, the University of Maryland in 2006.
His research interests arein the area of information retrieval with a focus on modeling user behavior. Speech retrieval, recommender systems, information architecture, and digital libraries are among Jinmook's special interests. Jinmook has a passion for teaching and enjoys the intellectual interaction with students in his classes.
