The College of Library and Information Science of the University of South Carolina is proud to reintroduce Mary E. Frayser to South Carolina and to libraries and librarians everywhere. Miss Frayser was a woman whose determined hard work was largely responsible for the nationally recognized public library system South Carolina enjoys today.
This site provides connection to publications by and about Mary Frayser which have been
converted to Web format by Jeannie Colson, a student at USC's College of
Library and Information Sciences, as part of the College's
South Carolina Library History Project.
