This document was compiled by the WPA Statewide Library Project at the request of Mr. James H. Hope, during the 1930's. At the time, Mr. Hope was superintendent of the South Carolina Board of Education. This document contains information about each of South Carolina's county libraries. This information includes library statistics, assessed valuation, as well as information about the population of each county.
