Welcome!
to the wonderful world of library and information science. These are most exciting times as we face the commodification of information and rise to the challenges of insuring equity of access and freedom of access to the information we need to lead quality lives. At the root of everything we do is the need to fight illiteracy -- in the basic sense of being able to read and enjoy the written works but also in the expanded role of helping everyone become information literate.
