Linda came to the University in 1977and retired in 2003. She holds degrees from the University of Illinois; Ph.D.; Library Science, 1980; University of Washington; M. Libr.; Librarianship, 1966; and University of Northern Iowa; B.A.; Library Science, 1961. Linda taught courses in reference, adult materials, academic libraries and library services to diversel populations, her chief area of research. Her interest in services to children with disabilities continues through the Linda Lucas Walling Collection at South Carolina Center for Children's Books and Literacy.
