Anne Marie Perrault received her Ph.D. in Teaching and Curriculum from the University of Rochester, a MLIS from the University at Buffalo, and a BS in English from SUNY Brockport. She has worked as a library media specialist at the K-12 level and as a district administrator. She has additional experience as an academic and public librarian. Her research interests are in the areas of School Media, Children's and Youth services, and Information Seeking Behaviors. She directs the K-12 Information Behaviors Lab and is studying how information seeking practices affect teaching and learning activities.

A current research project, Information Behaviors of Educators (IBE), involves a longitudinal study that examines the information seeking behaviors of teachers and library media specialists during their preservice education, graduate programs, and professional positions.
