Dr. Marshall holds an MLIS with a specialization in Archival Studies and a PhD (Appraising for Accountability: A Comparative Case Study of Appraisal Documentation at the National Archives of Australia, the Library and Archives of Canada, and the National Archives and Records Administration) from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Information Sciences.
Jennifer's primary teaching and research areas include archival and preservation administration. She is particularly interested in the role of records and archives as instruments of accountability and building blocks of
collective memory.
