Andy handles undergraduate advising for the Student Services Office. He supports the undergraduate program by planning, promoting, recruiting, and working with SLIS staff and faculty. Andy coordinates all graduation documentation and he also conducts end-of-program evaluations.

Andy was born and grew up in Fairfax, South Carolina . He graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1988. In 1997 he received his Master of Arts in history from Winthrop University.

Andy was director of the Hampton County Literacy Council for five years and served as the director of the TRIO Student Support Services Program at the USC Salkehatchie regional campus for 10 years.

Andy is married to Karen and they have a wonderfully, big, furry, black cat, “Porkchop” - who likes to eat.
