General

I am a first-year graduate student at the University of South Carolina pursing my PhD in Library and Information Science. In 2001 I earned my Bachelor's degree from East Carolina University in Anthropology with a minor in History. In 2007, I completed two Master degrees. My first Master's degree is from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in Library and Information Science. I completed my second Master's degree from East Carolina University (ECU) in Instructional Technology and also received a certificate in Distance Education and a certificate as a Library Media Specialist.

When I am not busy conducting research, I enjoy reading, running, and horseback riding.

Research

My areas of interest are the perseveration of digital archives and digital image retrieval.

I am especially interested in the preservation of different cultural constructs through the collaborative process of digital preservation and curation among museums, libraries and universities.
