Library of Congress Country Studies - Free book-length reports on 100 countries, written by social scientists. Looks at their history, politics, economics, society and defense systems.

U.S. State Home Pages - Web site with links to official state home pages.

World Factbook - Data and facts on almost every country in the world, compiled annually by the Central Intelligence Agency.

Yahoo! Canada - Links to all kinds of Canadian resources and information.

Your Nation - See how countries and regions rate in terms of social and economic factors. Compare any two countries or regions to generate a bar chart or generate lists of the top five or bottom five countries for a specific feature.
