Mental Illness: Support, Treatment, Research & Advocacy

The Internet resources listed in this directory are intended to help consumers of mental health services and their families and friends, as well as professionals in the field, to make connections with each other and with those larger organizations which are committed to advocacy for the mentally ill.

There are, of course, numerous other relevant resources available. This directory is designed as an introduction to some of the most useful online starting places for would-be advocates.

The Bazelon Center provides technical support for and co-counsel on selected protection and advocacy cases; collaborates with local, regional and national advocacy and consumer groups; and publishes handbooks, manuals, issue papers and reports on key legal and policy issues in everyday language, available from the site.
