Scholarship
The School of Library and Information
Science is accepting applications for the Information Science
Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year. Deadline to apply
for the scholarship is March 15, 2012.
The scholarship is awarded to an
undergraduate student majoring in Information Science who has a
demonstrated financial need and a record of academic excellence
as determined by the School of Library and Information Science’s
Undergraduate Committee.
The $500 scholarship will be awarded
$250.00 per semester in the fall and spring semesters 2012-2013.
This is a one-year scholarship and will not be automatically renewed
in the next academic year.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this award, the
student must be enrolled as a SLIS undergraduate major in at least
12 credit hours and have applied for financial aid for that semester.
The student must also display outstanding
past academic performance as documented by their cumulative high
school GPA or cumulative undergraduate GPA, SAT or ACT score and
other relevant factors.
