General Sources:

Healthfinder is a search engine for consumer health and human services information from the United States government. It is possible to look in their index under women's health to find good information.

National Institute On Health has a search engine which can locate women' health information on the web.

Information for Women on Food Safety, Nutrition and Cosmetics by the FDA Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, Office of Women’s Health has links to all kinds of sites with information on a variety of women’s health issues.

The National Health Information Center (NHIC) a health information referral service. NHIC puts health professionals and consumers who have health questions in touch with those organizations that are best able to provide answers. It has a search engine which is searchable in different ways.

FDA Consumer Index 1985 - Present, is the online index to the web version of FDA Consumer, a monthly publication from the FDA. It provides a wide variety of information health issues including women's health. Especially good are the articles aimed at teens on:

Endometriosis

Yeast Infections

The Defense Women's Health Information Center is aimed at women in the armed forces but contains links and articles which are useful to all.

Health Related Issues and Data Trends by the Office of Minority and Women's Health, the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC), Health Resources and Services Administration also contains general information.

The most comprehensive resource is CancerNet, which has a wide range of accurate, credible cancer information from the National Cancer Institute. All information has been reviewed by oncology experts and is based on the results of current research. Some of the information available includes:

Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration. Focuses on children but has publications on birth control and pregnancy.

The Office of Population Affairs Clearinghouse, Office of Population Affairs, Public Health Service, distributes information on family planning, adolescent pregnancy, abstinence, adoption, reproductive health care, and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV and AIDS.

Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, run by DHHS has a search engine that allows you to find the different publications of the US Government from many different agencies.
