Maine Business Works - Financing & Loans

This site is maintained by Maine Business Works (MBW), an on-line business development resource for Maine.  MBW is a partnership organization composed of the following corporate entities:  Maine's (5) Economic Development Districts; USM-Center for Business and Economic Development; Maine Small Business Development Centers; Maine Dept. of Economic and Community Development; and Central Maine Power Company.  The site provides access to a database of Maine's Public Lending Programs, which can be searched by county and keyword, as well as a link to Maine's Venture Capital Fund site. 

Innovative Financial Solutions for Maine Businesses

This site is offered by the Finance Authority of Maine. FAME is an independent state agency that develops and administers programs that provide targeted financing tools, information, and solutions to assist Maine businesses.  A variety of programs are offered, including: Early-stage, patient capital programs; Investment tax credit programs; Loan insurance programs; Direct loan programs; Taxable and tax-exempt financing programs.
