This website is designed to provide a quick way to locate governmental information in the United Kingdom.  This includes historical materials, cultural materials, and various government agencies.  Feel free to come in and browse.

England

 Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency--brings together both public and private organizations working with Information Technology.  A product of CCTA,  Government Information Service, provides access through a search feature.

 Department for Culture, Media and Sport--is responsible for cultural and recreational activities and policies related to these areas.

 Department of the Environment, Transport, and the Regions--is responsible for the intertwining of concerns of these areas, both nationally and abroad.  For a sample page created by DETR, see the Coast Guard page.

 Department of Social Security--provides information concerning benefits, contributions, and pensions along with links to other related sites.

 Her Majesty's Treasury--contains everything you wanted to know about England's economy, and the euro, too!

 Information Society Initiative--is devoted to bringing technology to small business and large through a variety of programs.

 Library and Information Commission--was developed to bring together experts in the field to provide support and advice on the field of library and information service.

 Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, UK--not only supports the industries related to food production, but also takes on the environmental controls used.

 National Health Service, Fiftieth Anniversary--describes the early beginnings of the NHS and future plans.

 New Scotland Yard, Metropolitan Police Service--is an informational site designed to promote communication between the police and the community.

 Office of Passenger Rail Franchising--relates to the quality of services and maintenance of the rail franchises.

 Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts--is charged with the duties of locating, coordinating, and preserving documents of British history.

 Service First--The New Charter Programme--was developed to enhance the quality of public services throughout the region.
