• Bureau of Consular Affairs - Linked to the U.S. State Department's "Services" page is the home page for the Bureau of Consular Affairs. This page provides links to valuable information for foreign travelers, including many crossover links to information from the U.S. State Department's site. Look here for a list of doctors and hospitals abroad, tips for U.S. students abroad, lists of lawyers abroad, links to U.S. Embassy and Consulate Websites Worldwide, etc. Also included is a list of "additional resources" which provides links to information and organizations such as the U.S. Customs Website, a Diplomatic List, Information on Bringing Food, Plant, and Animal Products into the U.S.:APHIS, etc.
• CDC Travelers' Health - The Travelers' Health pages from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provide a wealth of useful information on a variety of health issues and considerations for foreign and domestic travelers. Look here for "The Blue Sheet" - Summary of Health Information for International Travel, links to the Division of Quarantine and the National Center for Infectious Diseases, information on health issues involved in traveling with children and special needs travelers, "The Yellow Book" - Health Information for International Travel (1999-2000), sanitation and health information regarding to travel via airplanes or cruise ships, safe food and water recommendations, travel-related diseases, country-specific diseases, vaccinations, etc.
• U.S. State Department - The U.S. State Department's "Services" page is an excellent place to look for information on international travel as well as living overseas. Look here for links to information on topics such as passports, Visas, travel warnings, international adoption, overseas schools, services and information for American citizens abroad, etc. Be sure to visit the link to the Travel Warnings and Consular Information Sheets web site to check for any warnings in effect for the area(s) in which you plan to travel. Try the link to the Travel Publications page for a listing of links to a variety of informative sites, such as "A Safe Trip Abroad", "Sending Money Overseas to a U.S. Citizen in an Emergency", "Crisis Abroad", "Overseas Citizens Services", etc. A Superintendent of Documents order form is also linked to the publications site in case you want to order print copies of any of these publications.

• Access America for Seniors - Travel & Leisure - This web site will be useful to older Americans who plan to travel, either within the United States or abroad. The site contains links to useful travel information on the web, from the State Department's "Travel Tips for Older Americans" to the home page of the "Association for Safe International Road Travel".
• DLA Travel: Going Somewhere? - This is the DLA's travel home page, and it provides links to a variety of information on both foreign and domestic travel. Look here for links to pages on "money matters", "weather", "tips & tricks", etc.
• International Travel Information - This page is part of Maryland Congressman Elijah E. Cummings' web site. This section provides links to a variety of sites of interest to international travelers. Included are links to the U.S. Passport Agency, Foreign Embassies in Washington, D.C., etc.
• International Travel Information - This page is part of U.S. Representative Bill Luther's web site. This section provides links to useful information for international travelers, including how to obtain a passport, Visa requirements, tips for students and other travelers going abroad, etc.
• Travel & Tourism - This is a Browse Topic page that was created and is maintained by Mary Horton, in cooperation with the U.S. G.P.O. Provided herein are links to various web sites of interest to both domestic and international travelers, and brief but useful descriptions of each of these sites and/or their sponsoring agencies.
• Travel and Tourism - This web site features a subject bibliography from the U.S. G.P.O. of "travel and tourism" information available from the G.P.O.'s Bookstore. Most of these titles are for purchase, but some can be found on the web for no charge, so be sure to check before you order!
• U.S. Small Business Administration - International Hotlist - This web site may be more useful to international business travelers than to the general traveler, but it does provide some useful links to information for all international travelers. Scan the list of links at this site for various countries' business directories, "The Electronic Embassy", "Links for the International Traveler", numerous sites dealing with international business, "Traveller's Yellow Pages On-Line", "TTC-The (Foreign Lang.) Translation Connection", "World TV-International TV Stations", etc.

• Fly-Rights - A Consumer Guide to Air Travel - This is a report from the Consumer Information Center, and it seeks to inform air travelers of various issues they may need to consider or be aware of when flying, and to "explain your rights and responsibilities as an air traveler". The information within covers everything from air fares to travel scams, and may be useful to domestic travelers and international travelers alike. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the information herein is "in general", and not intended to give details about specific airlines.
• International Aviation - This is the official home page of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs, and may be of interest to those traveling abroad via airplane. Some of the information linked to from this site includes a "List of U.S. Bilateral Aviation Agreements in Current Administration" and other Aviation Trade Agreements, policy documents such as the Statement of U.S. International Transportation Policy, and reports such as "International Aviation Developments: Global Deregulation Takes Off."
• International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) Home Page - This is the home page of the IASA, and may be of interest to air travelers going abroad. This site includes links to information on the FAA's International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) Program, Civil Aviation Law & Regulations, IASA assessment results by country and by category, etc.

• Traveler Information (From the U.S. Customs Department) - This web site contains links to helpful information on a variety of primarily customs-related topics. Look here for information on "Exiting the United States", "Pets/Animals", "U.S. Customs Requirements in Brief", "Medications/Drugs", and other topics and issues that both foreign and American international travelers need to be aware of.

• Links to United States Embassies & Consulates Worldwide - Consult this page for links to United States Embassy and Consulate home pages. The links are arranged alphabetically, by country, and alphabetically by city, within country.

This is a good site to check out when you are planning your travels. Look up cities or counties for maps, population, and other information.

• Foreign Entry Requirements 2000 - This is an extremely informative web site that anyone planning to travel overseas might find useful. The site is produced by the U.S. State Department, and provides information on passports, Visas, immunizations, information on passports, Visas, immunizations, AIDS/HIV testing, additional fees, and other requirements for travelers entering other countries. The site includes a listing of each country in which the U.S. has an embassy (and where the embassy sent their information in prior to April 2000), and provides information on the specific entry requirements for each country or place, and contact information for each embassy or consulate.
• Passport Services and Information - Visit this page from the U.S. State Department for links to various kinds of information on passports. Some of the links lead the viewer to information on topics such as where to apply for a passport, related fees, how to replace a lost or stolen passport, etc.
• Visa Services - U.S. State Department - Visit this page from the U.S. State Department for links to all kinds of information on Visas. Some of the links include information on Visa Reciprocity Tables, Visitor and Student Visas, Application forms for Visitor Visas, and answers to questions regarding Visas which are frequently asked of the U.S. State Department.

• U.S. Business Advisor - Travel Tips - This page, from the U.S. Business Advisor web site, provides information of particular use to Business Travelers who are traveling internationally.

• Travel Warnings & Consular Information Sheets - U.S. State Department - This is another useful information source within the U.S. State Department's web site. This page provides links to information on Travel Warnings or Public Announcements issued by the U.S. Government for various countries. Travel Warnings are issued when the State Department recommends that Americans avoid traveling in or to a certain country. Public Announcements are issued as a means of informing citizens of any perceived threats that particularly target Americans. Consular Information sheets include various types of information, including U.S. Embassy locations in a country, "unusual immigration practices, health conditions, minor political disturbances, unusual currency and entrance regulations, crime and security information, and drug penalties." Consular sheets are available for every country.
• Warning for International Travelers with Laptop Computers! - This web page features warnings and recommendations for International Travelers carrying laptop computers or other items of value with them in airports. This information is particularly useful in light of the increase in travelers who bring computers and other types of electronic equipment with them on airplanes.

• International Travel Clinic - This web site describes an International Travel Clinic that is offered to all international travelers by the Wright-Patterson 74th Medical Group. This clinic is available for both adults and children who are planning to travel internationally, but is intended primarily for those planning to travel to any third world country. The clinic offers both pre- and post-travel evaluations and, among other services, provides counseling about "possible infections [travelers] may encounter," immunizations, and other medications for its patients. • Travel Weather - National Weather Service, Tallahassee, Florida - This site is produced by the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Florida. It contains a special "national & international" weather section with links to information such as "hourly weather for selected International Cities" and "other international weather."
