To Honor Those Who Served

We honor the men and women of our Armed Forces and especially honor, remember, and salute those who gave their lives in service to their country. Given that at least 30 US soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since the beginning of the war, this is an appropriate time to reflect. Operations in Somalia, Gulf War, Lebanon, Vietnam, Korea, and World War II all claimed the lives of US soldiers. It is important to remember these heroes and the sacrifices they made for us, sacrifices that many are not prepared to make.

You can use the following sites to read about those who died in service to their country, to plan a trip to the particular site, to read about a particular soldier, to read about a particular issue resulting from war, to check current activites of the armed forces, or to simply remember others.
