DESCRIPTION: Focuses on narrow topics of warfare between the
Germans and Russians during World War II. Written
by German generals shortly after the war ended, and
therefore only offers a German perspective. No

DESCRIPTION: Collection of accounts of Army Air Forces
personnel involved in World War II. It was done hurriedly
after the war and suffers somewhat from a lack of
critical analysis, which resulted in a somewhat
skewed viewpoint. Maps, illustrations, and data
relative to specific planes used by the AAF are
included. Also provides information on the
subsequent creation of the United States Air Force
as a separate branch of the Armed Services.

USES: Can be used by both undergraduate and graduate
students, as well as scholars seeking to gain insight into
the Army Air Force's role in World War II. Some knowledge of
World War II is helpful in appreciating this series.
