Martha Taylor received her B.A. in History from Erskine College in 1972 and her MLIS in 1994 from the University of South Carolina . She earned S.C. certification as a school media specialist in 1997 and NBPTS certification in library media in 2002.
Martha worked in public libraries before becoming a school library media specialist in 1997. She is the library media specialist at McCants Middle School in Anderson School District 5, and also serves as the district media coordinator.
Martha is a member of the South Carolina Association of School Librarians, South Carolina Library Association, American Library Association, and American Association of School Librarians. She is a past president of SCASL, Friends of South Carolina Libraries, and the Friends of the Anderson County Library.
