Elisabeth Hall received her undergraduate degree in English from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina in 1972 and her Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina in 1985. Elisabeth was a classroom teacher of language arts in middle school and in high school English before taking time off to care her two young sons. After Andrew and Patrick began public school, she began her school library media career at Albemarle Senior High School in Albemarle, NC. She worked at Endy Elementary School and at New London Elementary school in North Carolina, while her husband, Henry, was director of the local public library. She moved back to her hometown, Columbia, with her family to care for her mother, and served as President of the South Carolina Association of School Librarians in 1995, while she was library media specialist at Arden Elementary School in Richland #1. She served on the SCASL Childrens' Book Award Committee and has been site supervisor for numerous school library media interns since 1992. Elisabeth achieved National Board Certification in Early Childhood/Young Adult Library Media in 2004 and is presently the media specialist at Brennen Elementary School in Columbia. She is married to Henry Hall, an adjunct faculty member at SLIS, and a media specialist at Fulmer Middle School in Columbia. .
