Mary, a native of Belize, also lived in Nicaragua before her family took up residence in New Orleans, La. She received a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Library Science from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) Mary worked as a serials cataloger at the University of South Carolina and as cataloger at the South Carolina State Library before moving to Columbia College as Head of Technical Services in 1986. She recently retired from Columbia College and is working partime at the USC Law School..
